After such a long, dark and cold winter, the days are getting a little brighter. The chickens have started laying eggs again and hordes of potted flowers have found their way to the open market on the square.

The last apple in the apple ben. As I paint this little apple from my garden, the world is waking up from its winter sleep. The apple trees in our orchard are coming alive again. Flower buds are swelling at the tips of the branches. In a few days the blossoms will appear.
